As I was nearing the end of my communication studies I was noticed by the people in the information department at Lund university Campus Helsingborg. They were planning to kickstart a new project, aiming to increase the number of new students at the university through creative communication.
I thought it was right up my alley, and they agreed.
So, for one year (well, 11 months to be exact) I functioned as the project manager for this investment. I researched the target audience (turns out they're vastly intelligent, conscious and media-savvy young people), strategized how to best reach them, and did the things that touched their hearts. I planned events, gave seminars, used guerrilla marketing, experimented with social media, produced print material and much more.
At the end of the year, Campus Helsingborg had the highest number of applicants in a long time. Not to mention a nice little report to build even better recruitment strategies from.
I was even offered an extension, but decided to move on - confident that other bright people will be able to take the work I started even further.
